In this paper we discuss the education during the pandemic and public policies developed in Portugal and Brazil. The approach will be the parameter of how to face the pandemic situation in times of crisis. We will seek to discuss the policies developed and whether they are being effective in combating the problem, and whether the distance learning system has been effective.
